Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Does Op4G have a Member referral program?
Members may invite others to join the Op4G community. Although Op4G does not offer monetary incentives for new referrals, Members can further support their favorite non-profit organization(s) by inviting others to join and by encouraging active participation.
Can prospective Members view the website without joining? Is there a trial membership?
The Op4G website allows prospective Members to learn all about the program, benefits, and Member activities. A sample “myOp4G” homepage will provide prospective Members with a glimpse into the Op4G membership. While Op4G does not offer a trial membership, Member registration is absolutely free and Members are welcome to terminate their memberships if Op4G does not meet their expectations.
Will Op4G charge Members to register?
Members will never be charged for any aspect of their membership or participation in activities at Op4G.
Can a Member register without specifying a Non-Profit organization and simply make money for themselves?
No. One of Op4G’s cornerstones is a commitment to require that all Members select at least one Non-Profit organization to support. Members agree to direct a minimum of 25% of potential earnings to their selected Non-Profit. Op4G provides a way for Members to contribute to causes and organizations they deem important. If you do not wish to select a Non-Profit, you may designate your earnings to be shared with the "Non-Profit of the Month" which is randomly selected from among our Non-Profit Partners.
What is the minimal activity level required to maintain membership in Op4G?
While Op4G values active participation, Members only are required to complete requested updates on their demographic information to maintain membership.
Is a Member required to provide a credit card or Social Security number (SSN)?
Op4G will never ask Members for credit card information because membership is free. Members are responsible for reporting all income to the IRS, therefore a Social Security number is not required for monies earned under $600. Once $600 has been earned, Members are then required by law to provide Op4G with their Social Security numbers in order to process federal 1099 Forms for an individual’s annual tax filings. Until a Social Security number is on file, no money greater than $600 earned by a Member can be paid and each dollar will be turned over to the Member’s currently selected Non-Profit.
Is the Member username the only connection between the personal information and the demographic information? What types of security measures will Op4G have in place?
A fundamental and core requirement of Op4G is to provide data protection and website security. The only connection between Members and their personal and demographic information is the username that each Member selects during registration. Personal information is stored in a secured off-site database, which can only be accessed by Op4G staff under very specific security protocols.
How can Members ensure that any potential subsequent purchaser of the company will protect the integrity of Member information?
During Member registration, Op4G will offer a statement to each Member, clearly indicating that any change in policies, security, or use of Member information will be announced to the Op4G community at least two weeks before any such changes are implemented. Any potential new ownership or management would be bound under this contract, protecting Members from new situations. If displeased with planned changes, Members will have the opportunity to immediately terminate their memberships, resulting in the deletion of all personal, demographic, and homepage information.
With regard to webcam/video conference activities, how does the Member remain anonymous?
Webcam/video conference activities, like all Op4G activities, are designed to protect and preserve Member anonymity. For any webcam/video conference activities that might be offered, Members will only be known by their username. As part of the agreement with Op4G, its Clients will delete Members’ IP addresses after each specific activity has been completed.
Will Members have the option to receive alerts to participate in a specific Member activity or area of interest?
Members will receive notices to their personal email addresses each time a Member activity is made available to them. This alert will be a summary of the activity, estimated time requirement, and compensation. Other email notifications about areas of interest or new Op4G Member activities will also be sent if Members have opted-in to receive them.
What determines when a Member activity status is indicated as “closed?”
Op4G activities are indicated as “closed” when Member response rates have been reached and/or the activity expiration time has passed. These designations are a result of Op4G Client-specified criteria.
How do you prevent fraudulent activities? Example: the same person with multiple Member usernames; Members providing inaccurate information; etc.?
Op4G uses a number of standard techniques to validate Members’ information as being unique and accurate. We will monitor, identify, and purge any activities that are in violation of Op4G membership conditions.
Can Members suggest new ideas/features to Op4G?
Although Op4G appreciates active involvement from its Members, Op4G is unable to accept unsolicited recommendations for new products and services.
Is Op4G meant to replace a Member’s usual donation method to a charity or group?
Op4G activities provide an additional way to benefit Non-Profit organizations. All monies directed from Op4G Members incrementally add to the Non-Profit and are not viewed as a replacement of their other methods of support. Op4G expects its various activities to have a range of payouts; if Members participate regularly, there will be excellent opportunities to generate significant value for the Member and the Member's selected Non-Profit.
Is there a way for Members to compare their nonprofit-directed contributions with those of the rest of the membership?
• On the Op4G corporate homepage there will be a running total of statistics, such as monies contributed by Op4G Members to Non-Profits, the total number of Members registered with Op4G, average time Members spend on the site per month, and other related facts.
• On Members’ “myOp4G” homepages, there will be a Philanthropic Footprint icon totaling their directed monies to Non-Profits and additional statistics to compare their efforts.
